This post shares 12 Christ Centered Christmas Crafts that will help you and your family focus on the true reason for the season. These crafts are made to center your heart and mind in a busy season and to give your family an opportunity to reflect on the reason for the season- Christ.
This Christmas, let your crafting go beyond making beautiful crafts, and fill your home with Christ-centered crafts that remind you of the true meaning of Christmas. These Christ-centered Christmas crafts are made to spark joy and remembrance of the true meaning of the season.
In Deuteronomy 6:9 God instructed the people of Israel to remember the commandments of the Lord and to “write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” I tend to take that literally and I love to find ways to remind myself and my family of who God is and how much He loves us.
It is so easy for us to forget what God has done and to get busy with other things. These crafts are made to center your heart and mind in a busy season and to give your family an opportunity to reflect on the reason for the season- Christ.
So as you make these crafts by yourself or with others, may they give you an opportunity to thank the Lord for coming that first Christmas, entering into this messy world because of how much He loved us!
So let’s get started on making 12 Different Christ Centered Christmas Crafts!
Here are 12 Christ Centered Christmas Crafts:
1. Wooden Nativity Scene Christmas Craft
The first Christmas celebrated the birthday of the baby Jesus. This Christ centered Christmas craft uses a nativity scene blank similar to this one. And then is added to a blank wood sign that I purchased at the Dollar Tree.

This next Christ centered Christmas craft repurposes a mason jar into a manger scene. Using a music sheet, wooden peg dolls or any other nativity scene characters set up a little scene inside the mason jar. Then decorate outside of the jar with pain, pine cones or bells. So sweet and a simple gift to give this Christmas. Also another fun one to do with kids.

5. Peace Sign Plaque
This next Christmas tree is a lot simpler than it looks. Another name for Jesus is Prince of Peace. This sign is a reminder of the Peace that Jesus brought between God and man.
I found this Peace cutout at the Dollar Tree and stained it to look darker. Then I took a scrap piece of wood from our garage and added it behind the cutout with sweater material in between.
