Good morning! I can’t believe we are already a week into December! Yesterday I finally sat down and finished a DIY Christmas fabric wreath I had started before the 12 days of Christmas. I did a tutorial awhile back on this wreath. You can check out how to make a Christmas fabric wreath here. But I made a smaller version of it this week that I thought I would share today.
I decided to make a Christmas fabric rag wreath because I noticed the Dollar Store started carrying different sizes of wire wreath forms. You may noticed this as well. Have you noticed how stores are really expanding their craft sections? I think it’s awesome, especially at stores where the products are so inexpensive. The Dollar Store here now carries a 18″, 14″ and an 8″ wire wreath form! Oh the possibilities! 🙂
I was really excited to try out the smaller 8″ wire form with a Christmas fabric rag wreath. I used red ticking fabric (because I still love ticking fabric). And it turned out pretty cute! I hung it next to the larger fabric wreath I made out of the 1970’s curtains on our gray hutch.
Next to all the other little trees and my Christmas gnome the colors of the Christmas fabric wreath reminds me of a candy cane. I thought yesterday that our house is starting to look a little like a Christmas factory at the North Pole. But I guess during Christmas time I am ok with that!
The smaller wreath would also be cute on a narrow screen or old window. I didn’t use any embellishments on this wreath like the red burlap wreath. Because I liked keeping this one simple with the two different colors of fabric. Then the wreath will still be good for Valentine’s Day! 🙂 I just used a piece of twine to hang it on the door of my hutch.
Christmas Fabric Wreath with Embellishements
But if you would like to see a fabric wreath like this with embellishments. I want to share a Christmas fabric wreath my friend Yeng made. I think it’s gorgeous and quite clever! She followed the diy fabric wreath tutorial. And her children inspired her to add some Christmas festivity to the beautiful fabric wreath!
But it just goes to show how each person adds a unique spin to a project. That’s the beauty of DIY! You can make it your own and put your unique spin on it! Isn’t her wreath fabulous?!
I love seeing projects that are being made from the tutorials. If you have made a project I would love to see it and possibly share it! Feel free to email me any projects you have done at: elizabeth@awellpurposedwoman.com.
These wreaths are easy to make, inexpensive and they make a very lovely Christmas present! I hope you will try to make some of your own.
