Have you seen adorable fabric pumpkins with curls? Do you wonder how people make those sweet little pumpkin curls? Well I am about to show you how to make pumpkin curls the easy way! It’s honestly so simple you will be surprised. And the best part it just takes a few seconds to have precious pumpkin curls!
I have been making fabric pumpkins with curls for quite some time. Originally I would always use vintage springs to make the pumpkin curls. But I was always so worried about what I would use to make pumpkin curls after my supply ran out.
Last year I was on the hunt to find an alternative that was equally as cute to make pumpkin curls. Well luckily I found an easy one and it’s a less rare commodity than vintage baby mattress springs. My sister-in-law prompted the idea after a trip to Hobby Lobby. So let me show you how you can easily make pumpkin curls to make that perfect fabric pumpkin.

Here’s the supplies needed to make pumpkin curls:

Here’s how to make pumpkin curls:
Watch a video on how to make pumpkin curls:
Step 1: Twist the floral wire around a pencil
The first and really only step is to take your floral wire and wrap it around a pencil. This will make a spiral like a notebook. Make about 5-7 spirals around the pencil.
Step 2: Cut off the pumpkin curl and hot glue it to your pumpkin
The next step is to just cut off the pumpkin curl and you will have the perfect curly cues for pumpkins.
It’s easy as that and now you have some really cute pumpkin curls! Just hot glue them on your pumpkin and you are all set!
And that’s all there is to it! Just hot glue it onto your pumpkin.
Now you can add perfect little pumpkin curls to each of your fabric pumpkins.
A Few Alternatives for Pumpkin Curls
A couple other alternatives to use would be the rusty baby mattress springs or wire that is covered in jute twine. I did find some of this at the Dollar Store. The only probably is that the jute would often unravel so you just want to keep that in mind if you using the jute covered wire.
But let me know what you use. And if you are looking for some pumpkin stems to go on your fabric pumpkins you can read our post on the best places to find pumpkin stems.
That’s it for now thanks for visiting!
Take care and God bless,

It seems like you use a wider, flat brown paper-covered wire for the curls on some of your pumpkins. Can you please tell me where you get that? Thanks.
