I am very practical when it comes to Valentine’s Day gifts or any other gifts. Some of my favorite presents are tools for DIY projects, art supplies and painting supplies! To me these are the gifts that keep on giving.
As crafters and DIY’ers having the right tool is essential. And trying new tools and skills can be invigorating. So this year I cam up with 14 creative way to say, “Happy Valentine’s Day” to crafters, creatives and DIYers. Gifts Under $10
Gift #1: High temperature Hot Glue Gun
Nothing is more practical and necessary for a crafter than a high temp glue gun! It is impossible to count the number of times that I have used my hot glue gun to fix something, finish something, or create something. I was surprised to find that even in upholstery projects I needed to use my hot glue gun. Definitely a great Valentine’s Day gift!
Gift #2: An embroidery floss & Needle set
Something that is nice to have on hand for crafts and sewing projects is some embroidery thread and a needle. I have never officially purchased a full set of colors, but I think this would be a wonderful gift to give someone who enjoys making crafts.
Gift #3: A Craft Knife
A nice craft tool to always have in your kit is a craft knife. Handy for helping out in many different situations. It’s no wonder this knife is a best seller. Although your loved one might feel weird buying you a knife for Valentine’s Day I guarantee it can help you time and time again.

With this gift you will be set for hours of fun. Pair it with gift #9 and you may never see me again.
Gift #5: Wire Cutter and Floral Wire
With spring in the not too distant future making your own wreaths is a HUGE money saver! Having a wire cutter, floral wire, and tape is all you need to start making DIY wreaths in no time! Wire cutters come in handy with a lot of other DIY projects like cutting chicken wire or metal.

Gift #6: Chalk Paint & Wax Natural Bristle Brush
My in-laws gave me these brushes and I have used them countless amount of times on furniture. If you or someone you loves enjoys painting furniture these brushes are priceless! And even if you already have a set, having an extra set would be awesome!
Gift #7: Can of Chalk Paint
If you have a DIY’er in your house or if you are one. It’s fun to have someone buy you a new brand or color of chalk paint to try. I think that when something is given to me I have a little bit more freedom to enjoy it and use it for a special project. If you have never tried your hand at re-doing furniture this would be a fun paint to try!
Gift #8: A Good Pair of Scissors
This is always a good present. No matter how many pairs of scissors you own. They will always lose their sharpness. It is a good idea to reserve scissors just for cutting fabric too. A good pair of scissors are ergonomic and it will help save your wrists and hands!

Paint is a crafter’s love language and saving grace for a million and one different projects. Getting a creative a set of paint is a great way to spur their creativity and encourage them to take time to paint!

Gift #10 Rotary Cutter and Mat
Although having a rotary cutter and mat is almost a necessity, it may be a luxury some crafters do without. Spending so money to give them a rotary cutter and mat will help with so many different projects. If they are new to sewing they might not realize how wonderful these tools are!
Gift #11: Hand Sander
If you have a DIY’er in your life who doesn’t have a hand sander. Or if you are constantly having to borrow one. (Thanks Colleen!) Than this would make a great present for a DIY’er in your life! This is perfect for so many projects, but especially when re-doing furniture!
Gift #12: Forward Facing Staple Gun
If you have wanted to try your hand at re-upholstery. My advice, don’t do it unless you have one of these. Although they are handy for all kinds of projects. These really are a lot better than ordinary staple guns when it comes to any time of upholstery project.

Gift#13: A New Sewing Machine
Whether you are a brand new sewer or a skilled seamstress, a slightly bigger gift would be a new sewing machine! I didn’t even realize how off my first sewing machine was until my mom purchased me a new sewing machine as a present! What a blessing it has been! 🙂
Gift #14: Cricut Maker
And I saved the biggest present for last. A really nice present for any crafter would be a Cricut Maker. These machines are pretty awesome! They can cut through fabric, leather and make pretty awesome projects!
