Learn how to make this beautiful and delicate heart wreath. This heart wreath is a perfect Valentines Day decoration and can be made in just a few easy steps. If you are looking for a simple heart wreath idea then this heart wreath might be perfect for you.

Today we are going to learn how to make a heart wreath out of delicate paper doilies for Valentines Day. This elegant and budget-friendly craft is perfect for adding a touch of love to your home decor, especially during special occasions like Valentine’s Day or simply to celebrate love any day of the year.

This heart doily wreath has added such a simple lovely twist to my living room this year. I really love it! I hope that you will like it too and enjoy crafting these pretty heart wreaths made from paper doilies.

So let’s get to work making these beautiful heart wreaths!

Here are the supplies needed to make a heart wreath with paper doilies:

  • Heart Wire Wreath
  • 60 Paper Heart Doilies
  • Hot glue gun & gluesticks
  • Twine

Here’s a video on how to make a heart wreath out of paper doilies:

Step 1: Fold Paper Doilies

Start by taking your paper doilies and folding them into thirds. Fold both sides on the bottom part of the heart doilies like below. You will make an airplane style shape.

Do this with all your paper doilies or fold them as you go.

Step 2: Fold your paper doilies over the inner two rings of the heart wreath form

Start on the two inner rings of the heart wreath. Fold your first doily over the inner two rings of the wreath form. I started on the point of my heart and folded my first doily over the inner two rings of the wreath form. Hot glue the doily on the back side of the wreath like the picture below.

Continue folding the doilies along the inner rings of the wreath. Overlap the doilies slightly to cover the previous doily so that the entire heart is well covered.

Step 3: Flip your heart over and hot glue doilies

Now that you have the first row of your doilies in place. Flip the heart wreath over and hot glue down and doilies that are floppy.

Step 4: Attach doilies to the outer ring of the heart wreath

The last step is to attach the folded doilies to the outer ring of the heart wreath. If you notice any open spaces around the heart wreath just add an extra doily to cover it up.

Turn your wreath over and attach a piece of twine to the top for hanging. You can use ribbon also to hang your wreath. Make sure it’s securely fastened to ensure your wreath stays in place when displayed. And that’s it!

This elegant and budget-friendly heart wreath will be a delightful addition to your home decor this Valentines Day. Display it proudly on your wall, or as a centerpiece to spread love and warmth throughout your home.

This heart wreath is actually surprisingly hearty for being so delicate and could definitely be used from year to year if stored properly. I really like how it turned out. What do you think?
