I hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend. We traveled this weekend to my in-laws. It was a nice time with family but it was also productive! Normally I wouldn’t necessarily put the two together but my sister-in-law and I had planned to make some fall wreaths for the upcoming Weathered & Rusty Market when we were together.
Also for the six hour car drive to Fargo was not wasted because I worked on making velvet pumpkins while we were driving. The velvet fabric was so delicious that I loved making them. I will try to do a post with them so you can see how beautiful the velvet looks on pumpkins. I used an old velvet dress, so I am kinda curious how many velvet pumpkins can you make from an old dress? More on that later.
Back to the fall wreaths. We made several different kinds of fall wreaths and I will plan to show you each of them. Today’s post is on these little fall embroidery hoop wreaths.
I had found three very petite embroidery hoops at a garage sale awhile back. So when I knew we were planning to do fall wreaths. I thought I could use the left over pieces to fancy up these little hoops. They were so cute they just had to be decked out for fall.
So after we finished the bigger wreaths I picked up the scraps and added them to these little embroidery hoops. To add a final touch my sister-in-law had some small ribbon and fall stamps. She stamped it on the ribbons and we added it in the center of the hoops. I will probably cover up the floral wire with twine or something to hide it more.
But aren’t they cute? There is something about these petite simple hoops that melts my heart. But you could definitely do these same hoops with a bigger embroidery hoop as well.
These hoops would also be cute to make for each season. I can see them with a Christmas theme or summer flare too. They were fun and easy to make! Each hoop took about 10 minutes to make, probably even less because now you have a design already laid out to inspire you!
If you liked these, be sure to pin them for later!
